- Sleeping in.
- Eating a fried egg sandwich and sipping tea.
- Enjoying a long shower while the children were glued to a DVD.
- Wearing my jeans with turn ups.
- Loving my stripey Mason Crew T from Gap. I’m buying these in every colour. Perfect cut, super soft cotton and just a hint of sexy.
- Realising just how much I like navy and coral together. New favourite colour combination.
- Working hard on some new content for Love My Dress. Cannot wait to see this feature go live in the next couple of days.
- Making soup for lunch. I adore this recipe for speedy sweet potato soup with coconut. It’s delicious and I’m very much looking forward to finishing off the leftovers tomorrow.
- Welcoming friends with coffee and cake.
- Strolling to the quay. Living so close to the river never gets old.
- Loving the sight of Jesse walking hand in hand with his Godfather.
- Eating ice cream in the sunshine.
- Cooking and eating one of my favourite meals. The bright colours and bold flavours of this tray baked salmon with olives, green beans, anchovies and tomatoes are perfect for sunny days.
- Sipping cocktails with Mr. LA. He made mojitos, but substituted the rum for some homemade pomegranate vodka. They were divine and went down very easily. I believe I had four.
- Watching The Woman in Black. It certainly had me scared, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the book or the play which are far more subtle and insidious in their approach to horror.
- Collapsing into bed.
- Demolishing an omelet for breakfast.
- Trying to catch up on some chores while Mr. LA deposited Izzy at her weekly drama class.
- Lamenting the fact that being a grown up means Sundays have to be about housework and getting ready for the week ahead. I miss the time when they were about my hangover and the Hollyoaks omnibus.
- Walking to the park in the sunshine.
- Eating shop-bought sandwiches on a park bench. It was quite heavenly, even if my salmon bagel did lack salmon.
- Having a go on the giant swing with Jesse. Mr. LA kept telling me to shush, but I couldn’t help but scream and laugh! So much fun.
- Hanging washing outside to dry in the sun.
- Watching Jesse get very dusty as he scribbled all over the pavement with chalk.
- Baking snickerdoodles.
- Eating snickerdoodles. Too many of them if I’m honest.
- Cooking Sunday dinner.
- Wondering if roast chicken, potatoes and gravy might just be the most comforting meal in the world.
- Deciding it’s not. Macaroni cheese is the most comforting meal in the world. Definitely.
- Listening to the children play games with each other in the bath.
- Reading bedtime stories.
- Enjoying the peace and quiet.
