I’ve always loved reading blog posts or watching youtube videos on this subject so I thought I’d reveal the contents of my own make-up bag. First the shiny bright red bag itself! It came from MAC with a set of eye-shadow brushes that I treated myself to at Christmas.I don’t carry that much with me as I never really feel the need to reapply a full face of make-up when I’m out and about (and it’s unlikely my 4 year old would wait patiently if I ever tried to anyway). I tend to swap items like lip gloss and lipstick in and out on a daily basis but there are a few essential products that I always carry.
I always have MAC Blot powder with me. My T-Zone can get quite shiny (especially in the heat) and this helps matify my skin without leaving it looking powdery. I use the little Benefit powder brush to apply it as it’s more hygienic than using the puff that comes in the compact. I usually have a couple of lip balms about my person too. At the moment I have Carmex, a long-time favourite of mine, and a Palmers Cocoa Butter balm which I’m really liking. I’ve started carrying my MAC Fix+ with me as I’ve been sooooo hot and this feels lovely and refreshing. I spritzed it on straight after I applied my foundation today and it has held up really well in the heat. I’m prone to dry hands so I always have a random hand cream on the go. This Vaseline one sinks in really well but I’m not overly keen on the strong scent it has. Today I also popped in Chanel lipgloss in No.68 Candy Glow and a GOSH eye liner pencil in 006 Bananas.
