I have been obsessed with fashion magazines for as long as I can remember. I generally buy Elle and Glamour every month as well as numerous weeklies such as Look and Grazia. The other day I was browsing the magazine racks in WHSmiths and had a peek at the August edition of Vogue. It hit me that, despite the fact I bought this magazine religiously throughout my teens, I hadn’t purchased it in ages. A brief flick through when I got home left me wondering why I had stopped buying it in the first place. There is something beautiful to look at on every page. The editorial content is of a very high standard and I’ve always loved pouring over the ads in fashion mags (in fact I used to use them as posters when I was younger!).
I was particulary taken by the lip colour model Sasha Pivovarova is sporting on the front cover. Whenever I see a make-up look I like on a magazine I devour the little list of ‘products used’ that can usually be found on the contents page. In this case she’s wearing one of the new Estee Lauder Double Wear Lipsticks in shade PlumBerry.
I already love the double wear concealer and eye shadows I have. This is a long-lasting range that actually seems to live up to its claims. I am definitely going to be checking these out next time I’m in town (which might not be for a while, we’re still under quarantine).
