Tired and a bit grumpy. Also feeling anxious about beginning to revise for my finals next month.

What’s one eye makeup tool or product that you couldn’t live without?
Mascara. I feel naked without it.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Audrey Hepburn. Failing that, a teacher.

What are some words you try to live by?
When my father was terminally ill with cancer I asked him if there was anything he wanted to do before he died, anywhere he particularly wanted to visit. He told me that he didn’t have any grand plans or fantasies he felt the need to live out but that he just wanted to be with the people he loved as much as possible. He said that, in the end, life is about spending time with the ones you love, not the exotic places you might visit.

Eyes/lips/cheeks:
Nothing exciting today. MAC Femme Fi e/s and some mascara/MAC Pink Swoon blush and Bobbi Brown Platinum Pink Shimmer Brick/MAC Manish Pink lipgloss (which I’ve decided I don’t like!)

Have you ever had a REALLY BAD perm?
Nope, I’ve never permed my hair.

What was the highlight of your weekend?
Watching my daughter try on her new school uniform and feeling both incredibly proud and slightly terrified at the same time.

Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb

Outfit:
Miss Sixty jeans, black vest, fine-knit purple sweater with 3/4 length sleeves and purple patent bow pumps from Faith.

Weekly goals:
Get on with revision, survive a weekend on my own with the children and get better at replying to messages from friends.
