Going Up…
- NEW BOOTS! WooHooo! I have been searching for some HG flat, black, go with everything boots for the past 3 winters. This morning I spied the perfect pair in Faith… but they were green. I asked the sales assistant if they came in black. She told me they didn’t but that she had a similar pair in the stockroom that were left over from last year. She brought them up and I knew they were just right. Soft, buttery leather that I know will look even better after a bit of wear.
- The fact said boots were HALF PRICE! Yes… reduced from £90 to £45. This makes me very, very happy!
- Eating an enormous dinner. Pasta bake (my dad’s world famous recipe), garlic bread and loads of Salad. Scrumptious!
- Finally picking up some of the Revlon Matte e/s. It’s only taken me a few months to get round to buying these. I’m hoping Riviera Blue will be a substitute for NARS China Blue (which has been on my wishlist forever).
Going Down…
- Feeling completely knackered. I’m so tired.
- The fact it’s dark when I get up in the morning. It would seem that summer is over.
- The state of my house. It’s a tip… and we have guests this weekend. I’ve come to the conclusion that I make a pretty crap housewife. I’ve always been able to use Uni work as an excuse before (e.g in response to disapproving glances towards the kitchen ‘when you’re trying to do it all something has to give and it’s usually the kitchen floor’). Now I just look like a scummy-mummy who hates cleaning.
- An over-tired and over-sensitive 4 and a half year old does not a fun evening make.
