A few months ago I blogged about something I described as a ‘product I can’t live without’.
Well, guess what?
I was wrong.
I’ve been living without it for approximately 2 and a half months. Being a true product junkie, I was easily courted by a rival counter and enticed with those attractive, dinky sample sachets. It wasn’t long before I found myself under the spell of a new product and cheating on my trusty Dr. Weil. He hadn’t really done anything to warrant my disloyalty, and I still stand by my original review… it is a great product. However, I think I may have found an even better one.
Estee Lauder Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
I really wish I’d had the forethought to take some ‘before’ pics prior to adding this wonder product to my skincare regime as this serum has drastically improved the texture of my skin (which for reference is combination, fairly sensitive, prone to dehydration, especially at this time of year, and no stranger to the occasional bout of acne). I don’t believe that this, or any product for that matter, can actually change the size of your pores but this has certainly reduced the appearance of mine. It has also fulfilled its promise of more clarity, luminosity and a generally more even skin tone. Estee Lauder claim that this is achieved through dissolving pore-clogging debris and continuously clearing away dead skin cells. The serum contains a super-potent anti-oxidant called NDGA as well as chestnut extract, glucosamine and mulberry and scutellaria extracts (whatever that is right?!)
What I Love:
Everything! This feels so silky when it’s applied and, in my humble opinion, it makes an absolutely amazing base for make-up. I apply it once a day in the morning before my moisturiser and my skin feels much smoother and looks brighter. Some old acne scarring also seems to have faded a little. I have suffered less blackheads since I started using this and the once obvious pores around my nose are barely perceptible. I also quite like the classic EL packaging and the fact that a little product goes a really long way.
What I Hate:
Not much. It’s not cheap (£36 for 30ml) but worth every penny if you ask me. However I did hit every single local EL counter for samples so that I could use this for about a month before I committed to a bottle.

Sounds a bit like an investment, but probably worth it… Unfortunately, I have quite a lot of creams/lotions to go through before I’ll be able to buy something new. xxx
Definitely an investment but then I always say we only get one face so it’s worth spending money on it!! I did wait until I’d totally cleared out my stash of everything else first and as I said I gave it a good trial with samples before I comitted to a full bottle. xxx
