• Feeling grateful for uninterrupted sleep.
  • Getting up very slowly. Lots of cups of tea, a leisurely breakfast followed by a long, lazy shower.
  • Taking the children out of the house so Mr. LA could catch up on work. Thank goodness for the public library.
  • Enduring ‘that time of the month’ for the first time in almost a year and a half. I have felt pretty grotty all weekend, mainly due to an awful hormone-induced headache that no painkiller has been able to shift. Not fun.
  • Loving the fact that the sun was shining. It may have been cold but blue skies have an incredibly uplifting effect, no?
  • Enjoying our local park with the children. Baby J laughs his little head off in the swing and Izzy takes a great deal of pride in being the one to push.
  • Eating macaroni cheese.
  • Drooling over Swarovski’s Alice in Wonderland collection which I spied in store. I can’t find a decent image anywhere on the web but I *will* be blogging about this. It’s too fabulous not to!
  • Admiring the brilliance of ‘Lives of Others’, a chilling and somewhat depressing German film about the Stasi which I watched with my boyfriend.
  • Waiting very patiently for some more of Jesse’s teeth to put in an appearance.
  • Cooking a Sunday roast with a twist. Chicken smothered in garlic oil, served with sweet potatoes roasted in cinnamon and cumin and a tangle of rocket leaves. It was delicious but my daughter did mourn the loss of her usual Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
  • Walking off our massive lunch down by the river.
  • Eating shop-bought cake because I was too lazy to bake some of my own.
  • Appreciating the end of half term while simultaneously dreading the return of Monday morning and the school run that goes with it.
