Going Up…
- My friend’s little bundle of joy! Baby Scarlett arrived yesterday afternoon. She weighs a healthy 7lb 2oz and has blond hair like her Daddy. I cannot wait to meet her and hear my friend’s birth story (I loves a good birth story I do)! I’m not quite sure how I’m going to stop myself from feeling broody over the next few months… we have 2 more friends expecting as well as Mr. LA’s sister.
- Shopping for new mother and baby gifts.
- Easing ourselves back in to our usual routine. Getting up for the school run is never fun but the familiarity is comforting.
- Smothering my nails in Lush’s Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter. Smells so yummy.
- Sunshine.
- The smell of Lush’s new boob cream, Lovely Jublies. I can’t comment on its ability to firm or tone yet but, my god, I’m in love with the perfume. Gorgeous exotic, floral… it’s all rose, jasmine and ylang ylang. Reminds me of holidays in Thailand. If it can work some magic on my overworked bosoms, all the better I say!
- Coral coloured clothes and accessories.
- Finally finding a sunhat for Jesse with a strap that goes under his chin (thank you GAP). It means he can’t pull it off! You should of seen how cross he was when he realised this!
- Drying the washing outside.
Going Down…
- Annoying spot on my cheek. Yuk.
- How badly I need a proper pedicure. I don’t mind doing my own but every now and then I need the indulgence of a professional job.
- Being grumpy.
- My inability to complete a few projects that really need to be done. Photos need to be put in albums, paperwork needs to be sorted and I have MAC eye shadows to de-pot.
- Housework. Hate it.
- Craving some proper time to myself. I’d love the opportunity to go shopping sans children.
- Work tomorrow.

Yay for new bubbies 🙂 I’ll be sure to share my birth story with you in graphic detail in a few months, wouldn’t want to deprive you now 😉
This new boob cream has got me intrigued…will you review it once you’ve used it more? I’m feeling the strain (literally) on my boobs already, so am dreading (only kinda) the after effects of breastfeeding etc…
Also, just HAD to comment on drying laundry outside…it makes it so much nicer to actually do the washing, and makes me happy the sun is here 🙂

Laura, i cannot wait to hear your birth story!
My plan is to share my own in a blog post around the time of my son’s 1st birthday (which is scarily soon). Think it will be a nice way for me to mark the occasion. Both of my births were really positive, uplifting and empowering experiences and I’d love to pass some of my tips and advice on to anyone who’s interested. Plus I just want to see it written down because I like remembering it!
Will def be rambling about the boob cream and my post-natal lady lumps soon! Bet you can’t wait…
I’m a totally different creature in the sunshine. It makes me love life! But for your sake I hope it doesn’t get TOO hot here this year! I’m sure you read my moany posts written during late pregnancy in the sun.It was horrible!
