That’s a blog first… Loveaudrey in her spectacles!! Ewwwww… and you can see a filling. Don’t forget to floss ladies. Seriously.Let me apologise in advance for the inevitable typos and rambling sentences in this post. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open this evening! I think it’s fair to say I’m pretty much incapable of burning the candle at both ends these days. Kids will do that to you.
The tiredness is worth it though. I had such a fabulous evening with my sister yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the Sex And The City sequel. I had been preparing myself for disappointment as so many people I knew had slated it but I thought it was great, not as brilliant as the first movie perhaps but still lots of fun. Uhhhh… the clothes… the shoes… all fabulous, I was filled with a burning desire to shop as soon as we left the movie theatre!
Without spoiling it for anyone let me just say that my most favourite scene is the heart-to-heart Charlotte and Miranda have over cocktails. I know more than a few mum’s who will be able to relate to that little exchange.
And of course we had to go for cocktails ourselves afterwards. My sister sampled the delights of a Grapefruit Cosmopolitan and I had something yummy that I can’t remember the name of! It involved lime, raspberries, rum and ginger beer though and it was deee-lish-us. It went right to my head of course so we elegantly stumbled home shortly after we had drained our glassed.
My sister kindly played photographer for the evening so that I could show you my new hairdo. The colour is actually more of a dark purpley red. It’s not what I had in mind at first but I chatted to the colourist about the fact that I’m of to Bali soon and that I was worried about the colour fading. The shade I had in mind initially would definitely have leaned more towards ginger by the end of the 2 weeks whereas this colour fades to more of a dark brown. I’m really pleased with it.
I was also incredibly happy when my stylist suggested that my hair had thickened up enough around my hairline to go back to my usual style. I feel much more myself now that I’ve got my nice sweeping fringe back. Better, no?
Top – Warehouse (years ago), Jeans – Miss Sixty (always), Wedges – River Island (also old), Earrings – Accessorize, Nail Polish – Tips: Revlon One Perfect Coral, Toes: OPI Not really A WaitressA slightly wonky (think my sister was trying to be arty) picture of my outfit. Geeez… doesn’t it look boring! That said, the top does actually have some really pretty embellishment that doesn’t show up in the photo. I forgot to grab my jewellery before I put Jesse to bed so I just had to go with what I had. However, I hope that once I threw on my little black cardi and my very blingy bag from Accessorize, I manged to look a little more put together!
We had so much fun, my sister and I. We’re already planning a girly night in with our friends Ben & Jerry once the DVD is released!! So, have you seen the movie? Did you love it?

You look gorgeous Franky, and I love, love, love the hair 🙂 Mine has faded sooo much, I desperately need to dye it, hopefully doing it this week! Your hair style is exactly what I want mine to look like, I might have to save your picture in my inspiration folder, hehe!
I’m glad you and your sister had fun 🙂 I can’t wait to see SATC 2, I’m hoping my sister and I might go to see it this week! Ah…cocktails, oh I’d love to have one right now, hehe!

I love your new do, hun! I love side swept fringes, but they annoy the hell outta me on myself, they just keep getting into my eyes!
Speaking of eyes, I’m confined to wearing glasses instead of usual contacts now because of my allergy. Urgh!
I have very similar wedges as well and I like them a lot 🙂 xxx
