- Missing Mr. LA. He was shooting at Boardmasters in Cornwall for 4 days.
- Visiting a couple of potential wedding venues with my Mum. I’m so excited about it all that I may well burst before the actual wedding comes around!
- Drinking too much red wine.
- Wishing the children would sleep later on a Saturday morning.
- Trying on my mum’s wedding dress. Spookily, it was a perfect fit. Unfortunately it’s not in the best condition so I don’t think I’ll’ be wearing it on my big day. It was fun playing dress-up though.
- Wandering around the local market. I love all the antique stalls and second hand book shops there are where my Mum lives.
- Drinking hot chocolate. I also had the most amazing scone with strawberry jam and proper clotted cream. It was delicious.
- Trying to put together a first draft of our guest list. I reckon this is going to be the biggest headache of the whole wedding planning process.
- Eating my mum’s Pasta Puttenesca, or ‘tart’s spaghetti‘! Tomatoes, chili, garlic, anchovies, olives and capers. Not necessarily a list of ingredients I enjoy individually but together it was heaven. Mmmmmmm…. it really was fabulous!
- Overdosing on garlic.
- Drinking even more red wine.
- Looking at lots of wedding dresses online.
- Taking the children for a walk along the river.
- Eating cupcakes and drinking tea.
- Craving darker hair (I’m very sun bleached at the moment) and better skin. Wine and lack of sleep have left me looking a little lacklustre.
- Discovering that the friend I had asked to be my Maid Of Honour is planing on going traveling for most of next year. Although I’m grateful that she’ll be at the wedding, my vision of a big girly shopping trip to find THE dress have been dashed.
- Falling asleep in the car on the way home.
- Willing Mr. LA to walk through the front door and flinging my arms round him when he eventually did.
- Tucking the children up in bed and settling down for an evening of snuggling with my fella.

Your weekend sounds lovely, as per usual…but now get yourself back to snuggling on the sofa with the Mr!
Perhaps you could take all of us dress shopping with you, hehe! It is a shame about your friend though 🙁
Just munched our crumble, was delicious!
Much love x x x
Sounds like a v good weekend.
The guest list is indeed the most annoying part of the planning- we had trouble with ours and I must admit, there are about 6 people I wouldn’t have invited in hindsight. Difficult one. Just stick to your vision of how you want the day to feel and who you want to share it with, don’t feel obliged to invite unknown partners/ tricky people.
xx
eating cupcakes, drinking tea, trying on wedding dresses…sounds lovely!!
@Laura We snuggled but were both asleep in bed by 10pm!! The children had wiped me out and Mr. LA was exhausted from drinking in the free bar at the festival the night before. One of the perks of all access passes!
Mmmmmm…. crumble! I might have to make one later….
@Anonymous Girl I think the list will get edited and then edited again!! I can see it’s going to be tricky though, trying to keep everyone happy.
@Lissylou It realy was!

How about you have 2 MOHs? I’ll do it until S is back and then she can take over when I leave for travelling! xx
@Knickers Yea I think that’s what we’ll do, except I don’t think S will be back until right before the wedding so either way I’ll be on my own for the last few months before the wedding. I think it’s a good idea if you just share the responsibilities, don’t you? She’ll miss my hen do for def so we might have to have a VERY early celebration before she goes in April.
