Some little girls dream of looking like a fairytale princess on their wedding day.
I, on the other hand, want to look like a movie star.
And not just any old movie star, a star from the golden age of Hollywood. I’m in love with Art Deco stying and obsessed with the actresses of the 1920s and 30s. For me they represent the epitome of glamour…. think finger waves, red lips and bias cut silk gowns.
This evening I’m pouring over images of the stunning Carole Lombard and dreaming of my wedding day…

Beautiful! x
I 100% agree….!! If i get married i want the exact same.. that old glamour is timeless an simply stunning!! x
I’m with you, fellow Jenny Packham lover! I have never liked big pouffey ‘princess’ gowns’- they always look a bit like toilet roll holders to me. By the way, I found my Jenny Packham the other day when we were clearng stuff out for the baby. It was a bit crumpled but I stuck my veil on and held it up to myself, and despite the enormous baby bump I still felt like a million dollars x
Ah, my grandfather had an affair with Carole Lombard! I’m loving Clark Gable’s not-so-subtle boob grab in the first picture too.
I think movie star bride is the way to go. Glam it up!
@Sugar Baby Timeless is exactly the right word to use. It’s all so elegant and subtley sexy, love it!
@Anonymous Girl Haha… toilet roll holders!! Yay for finding your dress and feeling gorgeous! I’m going to visit the Jenny Packham store when I go up to London again in Oct for the wedding show and I can’t wait to try on more dresses and hopefully find ‘the one’!
@Sam Wow, what a fabulous family scandal. I love the sly grope in the first pic too! Very saucy! I’m def going glam all the way!

Very inspiring! I’ve always loved the glamour of the ’40s and Rita Hayworth is my personal fave x
