I’ve made it half way through my first week back at Uni. We managed to resolve most of the financial issues that were stacked against us, although I’m still wrestling a few demons (and shedding a few tears) over having to take a loan from the bank of Mum and (step) Dad.
I’m slowly getting back into the swing of academic life, I’m exhausted but in a good way. So far, I’m managing the reading and I can feel my brain grinding back into action. It seems it hasn’t been reduced to post-baby mush after all, well at least not completely.
This evenings assignment involved watching a fabulous 40s movie ‘A Matter of Life and Death’. I find myself completely smitten with the female lead June, played by Kim Hunter. Her perfectly coiffed hair and the beautiful curved bow of her red lipstick are just heavenly. I may have to try and recreate it tomorrow *riffles through make-up bag for a red lip pencil*.

So pleased you’ve managed to sort out uni, even if it isn’t the way you wanted it to be. By the way, A Matter fo Life and Death is one of my favourite ever films, love the dashing Mr Niven! x
@The BBB Oh he is rather yummy isn’t he!! I watched ‘In Which We Serve’ last night and I think John Mills is teribly dashing too, if a little short for my taste!

Glad it worked out! I’m sure you’ll be a absolutely smashing etudiante with your red lipstick 🙂 xxx
Glad you’re doing well! Academic life…such bliss, that. But at least you get to watch beautiful classic films! I haven’t seen that one yet, I’ll be sure to look it up. 🙂
Phew! Glad everything worked out OK…it will all be worth it in the end! I’m in agreement with you and TheBristolBeautyBlog…Mr Niven is terribly dashing and handsome. I love that swept back hair and moustache! 🙂

So pleased to hear you found a way to make uni do-able 🙂
I’m so pleased everything is working out Franky. I can sympathise about loans from the bank of Mum and Dad, we’ve just had to borrow loads of money to pay our bills because my maternity pay is leaving us seriously short 🙁 Why can’t money grow on trees hey?!
I think I’ll have to check out this movie, sounds good! xxx
