Rita Hayworth looking fabulous. I was inspired by her, my favourite redhead, during my trip to the hairdressers earlier today. My hair is the reddest it’s ever been and I love it, which is unusual for me as I tend to leave the salon full of regret. I had a little trim too and was feeling ever so pleased with myself… and then then the heavens opened and I got absolutely soaked. My barnet now looks less Hayworth, more drowned rat.
I’m currently sipping a restorative mug of tea while Izzy and my baby sister prepare dinner. Nicola is visiting from Brighton for a couple of nights. Tomorrow marks 5 years since our Dad passed away so we’ll be leaning on each other a little over the next couple of days. I’m glad we’re spending the day together, it’s nice to have someone to remember with.
This evenings plans involve a bottle of wine and a movie. I think I’ll remove my chipped manicure (China Glaze Ruby Pumps) and replace it with something fabulous. I’m in the mood for Chanel Particuliere.
Care to share your glamorous plans with me ladies? Who’s your current hair inspiration?

Isn’t Ruby Pumps the most divine colour? Sadly Lubu Heels didn’t really do it for me, just looked grey/brown rather than black with red. I’ve seen swatches of Ruby Pumps over it that look good though.
Have a fun weekend!! xxx
Oh how nice that you have your sister to be with on a difficult day. I don’t know where I’d be without my little sis.
There will be no glamour in my household this evening…just early nights all round. I’m such a Gran these days! Tomorrow is Mission Build-A-Den for us. Yay. Indoors obviously as its far too blimmin cold an wet to be building one outside! 🙂
Enjoy your weekend 🙂
I guess I should do my mani in the evening as well, and before that… I have some vacuuming to do 🙁 But there’s a prize, I’ve baked some amazing lemon cranberry muffins earlier this week! x
What a lovely post x I’m thinking that since I got no kids this weekend I shall put my rollers in and take my black ail polish off (I have been loving black for months now)and replace it with a plummy pink
nicola x
Not much going on this end- my hubby is working at the Masters Tennis all week so I am a tennis widow. I’m just hanging out with Finn, looking up recipes online, watching dvd boxsets (Dawson’s Creek, don’t judge me) and trying to, like you, remove my chipped manicure and replace it- I’m going with my constant favourite, Passion by OPI. Hope your weekend goes well x
Just to let you know that I left a little award for you on my blog, because I think you’re the bees knees 😉
@m4dswine Yes, I adore Ruby Pumps. It’s one of those colours that you wonder how you ever lived without it. Shame about Lubu Heels, you’ll def have to try it with ruby pumps over it and post a pic!
@MissisG I love an early night myself! We can be old grannies together! Indoor dens are excellent. I’m always turning our dining room into a spaceship, Izzy loves it! Thank you for the award, it means alot 🙂
@Rocaile Mmmmmmm… muffins sound amazing!! Hope you enjoyed them!
@The Beautiful Blog You’re evening sounds lovely, I hope you enjoyed it and that your nails are looking fabulous!
@Anonymous Girl Hanging with Finn sounds like fun! Shame the mister is away. I’ll be in the same boat next weekend as Mr. LA is on night shoots Sat and Sunday. I’ll have to check out your signature OPI shade!
