Stuck indoors playing nurse to my poorly boy today (and no, I don’t look anywhere near as glamorous as the medic pictured above). Jesse has hand, foot and mouth disease, a nasty virus that has filled his mouth and covered his little hands and feet with blisters. He’s quite well in himself really, but sleep has been somewhat lacking for the last few days. He has to stay away from nursery until all the blisters have healed which could take anything from 7 to 10 days.
Desperately trying not to panic about how behind I’m going to be at uni. I only have 2 weeks until the children finish school/nursery and I had hoped to get a good chunk of essay preparation out of the way.
To be honest, even before Jesse picked up this bug I felt like life was kind of flying past in a bit of a blur. The workload at uni is crazy and the demands in every other area of life seem to be stacking up too (Christmas shopping, paying bills, sorting Izzy’s nativity costume etc, etc). I feel like I’m not managing to do anything justice at the moment… being a rubbish mum, partner and student right now. I’ve had a few moments this week where I’ve really questioned my decision to go back and do the MA, you could call it a ‘crisis of confidence’ I guess.
How do you mange to stay on top of everything life throws at you ladies?

I know exactly how you feel – first assignment due in next week, nearly done all the reading. Haven’t started the assignment yet. Second assignment due in 3 weeks. Haven’t got anywhere near the reading yet, let alone the question.
There are just not enough hours in the day!!
@m4dswine WE CAN DO IT!! Positive thinking!! Def not enough hours in the day, it’s really started to get on top of me this week and my deadlines aren’t as close as yours! I’m sure you’ll get through it all though lovely 🙂

What you say sounds a lot like my first two years at Uni. Honestly, I don’t even know how I managed to pass 14 exams in 2 weeks. But I’m sure you’ll get through all of it! x
Jamie’s poorly at the moment too, it’s no fun is it 🙁 I hope Jesse is well and truly recovered now sweetie xxx
