I had a rare day at home with the little man today. One of his eyes was a little gunky when he woke up so I kept him off nursery just in case it was conjunctivitus. We spent the morning watching Toy Story 2, playing with the Duplo farm and running a few errands. After lunch and nap time (Jesse’s, not mine) we baked a victoria sponge.
Jesse seemed to really enjoy being chief mixer and mess maker. Cracking the eggs provoked fits of giggles, it’s amazing how much joy messy hands can bring to a small child, especially when fully endorsed by Mummy! Jesse really enjoyed spreading the raspberry jam too…
And the icing sugar tasted really good…
As did the finished cake…
