• Listening to the children cough. Damn asthma.
  • Feeling a little blue 🙁
  • Being woken up far too early.
  • Making a mad dash to A&E with a bleeding child. Jesse fell over and cut the inside of his top lip. I have never seen so much blood, apart from maybe in a horror film. Luckily he didn’t need any stitches, just plenty of calpol and cuddles.
  • Marvelling at the fact my son still manges to look cute with a fat lip.
  • Eating a sausage roll for breakfast. Mmmmmm….. ketchup!
  • Slow cooking beef in beer. So yummy and so perfect on a beautiful autumnal day.
  • Baking a lemon and mascarpone layer cake. Possible contender for my favourite bake. So delicious, it disappeared in one sitting.
  • Catching up with some of my favourite people. One of my best friends recently moved to bath with her family and I have really, really missed her.
  • Having a girly afternoon. The boys took the children to the park and I did Em’s make-up for her. They were attending a wedding in the evening and she wanted to feel glam, which can be a little tricky with 2 small children. We drank cups of tea and talked weddings too. Bliss.
  • Watching Izzy throw a tantrum of epic proportions when we asked her to tidy up her toys.
  • Accepting that sometimes I’m a really rubbish Mum. Trust me, I’m not saying it for effect, I lost it with Izzy, BIG TIME, screaming and shouting just isn’t constructive in these situations. Next time, walk away and count to ten Franky, OK. Oh well, it will give her something to tell her therapist about when she’s older.
  • Watching a movie on my laptop while snuggling under my duvet on our bed.
  • Needing a hug.
  • Loving Mr. LA for letting me lie in.
  • Eating fried eggs.
  • Hating November but loving the autumn leaves. Amazing colours this year.
  • Studying. On a Sunday. Depressing.
  • Almost finishing my essay.
  • Wishing I was at the beach with Mr. LA and the children.
  • Watching Pinnochio with Izzy.
  • Letting Jesse pretend to cook me dinner in the playroom. Funny thing is, pretend pots and pans just don’t do it for Jess. he has to empty the kitchen cupboards, lug it into the playroom and knock up a culinary masterpiece on the toy kitchen.
  • Wishing I had time to give myself a manicure.
  • Longing for a soak in the tub.
  • Hating how cold my toes are right now.
