I’ll admit it, neutrals aren’t exactly my favourite kind of eye-shadows. They’re just so…. well, neutral I guess. They don’t make my heart quicken like a vivid purple can and they won’t have me dashing to my nearest MAC counter like a stunning teal might. But neutrals do have their place in the collection of any self-respecting make-up junkie.
With this in mind, and as boring as it might make me sound, I’m kind of hooked on Phloof. These images showcase just how incredibly pretty it looks when packed onto the lid, but it can also be applied much more subtley and used as a brow or inner-corner highlight.
This really has become my fail safe eye-shadow combination on those days when I’m craving a little simplicity. 2 colours on the eyes, a smidgen of charcoal grey shadow as a liner, lashings of mascara and a flash of coral on the cheeks and lips. Simples. Occasionally, around tea-time, I’ll decide I need a little more drama so I’ll add a touch of black eyeliner, usually just in time for Mr. LA’s arrival home from work *wink*.

Lovely look! x
Gorgeous 🙂 It has to be said, neutrals might not be ‘the’ most exciting, but they don’t have to boring…as you well show 🙂 I don’t have Phloof, but it looks pretty similar to Shroom, which is a shade I like to pair with Satin Taupe 🙂 xxx
satin taupe is my fav!
Copperplate is my all time MAC favourite neutral. I love Print too. x
@The BBB Thank you!
@Laura Thanks lovely! Phloof is similar to Shroom (I have that one too!) but just a little more shimmerry I think.
@Karrymarie It’s fabulous isn’t it!
@Anonymous Girl I’ve never looked at Copperplate, will have to make sure I do. I use Print all the time, it’s def one of my favourite shades!
