• LOVE, LOVE, LOVING the weather. I swear I’m solar powered… I just seem to come alive in the sunshine!!
  • Baking muffins.
  • Madly tidying the house before our guests arrived.
  • Eating muffins.
  • Despairing at the state of my hair.
  • Catching up with old friends.
  • Talking about pregnancy, birth and babies a lot.
  • Going for a lovely long walk along the canal to our favourite pub. It has the most enormous garden with a playground and loads of outdoor seating. They always have cool live music and a BBQ going. It’s really family friendly and it’s got such a great atmosphere, I love going there.
  • Drinking lager shandy. Tres classy.
  • Cooking a yummy veggie chili, eating fajitas and drinking wine.
  • Not sleeping very well. Too much wine and the heat had me awake at 1am and unable to get back to sleep for what felt like ages.
  • Being woken up at 5.15am by a grizzly, teething baby. Poor Jesse has the most awful nappy rash (which is a classic teething symptom) and he really needed some cuddles this morning. As soon as I let him snuggle in bed with me he fell right back to sleep.
  • Getting to grips with dry body brushing. I’m currently loving this pre-shower ritual.
  • Making a mad dash into town to buy a birthday present for a 4 year old.
  • Eating salmon with green beans, tomatoes, olives and basil.
  • Loving my Estee Lauder Exotic Bronzing Blush.
  • Sorting out some baby clothes for our friends. Seeing all of Jesse’s newborn stuff laid out made me realise how much he’s grown!
  • Drinking gallons of water.
  • Slathering on the factor 50.
  • Wondering why such a large proportion of the British public seem to think bright red sun burnt skin is a good look.
  • Helping Izzy into her party frock.
  • Being chief face painter at the birthday party. There was a pirate theme so I did a lot of eye-patches, moustaches and beards.
  • Eating party food.
  • Walking home with Izzy in the beautiful sunshine. It’s not often that it’s just the two of us these days and it was lovely just chatting to her. It’s scary how grown up she’s getting.
  • Bathing the children, reading bedtime stories and giving lots of cuddles and kisses.
  • Collapsing on the sofa and eating Thai food.
