A couple of years ago my boyfriend treated me to the most beautiful pair of Agent Provocateur shoes for Christmas. I’m a big fan of AP underwear and the whole sexy, boudoir aesthetic they use in their shops, packaging and advertising. These shoes make me feel like a million dollars when I put them on… I’ve been known to wear them round the house with my pj’s just to cheer myself up! I love wearing them with a really fitted pencil skirt and pin-up inspired make-up on a night out. The heel is quite high so they obviously haven’t had much love while I’ve been expecting but I cannot wait for an opportunity to wear them again after the baby has joined us!
My boyfriend played a bit of a mean trick on me when he gave me these. He really goes to town for Christmas and birthdays. He likes to come up with his own ideas for presents rather than buy me something I’ve asked for because he always wants it to be a complete surprise. The year he gave me the shoes he spent weeks winding me up about what he was getting me. He kept telling me it was something that I’d love but that I didn’t know I wanted. On Christmas morning there was a large box for me to open. I ripped off the wrapping paper to reveal….. a blender. I was soooooo cross, I think I hit him (and in front of his mother)! Everyone was laughing and he was grinning and saying he thought I needed one. He kept telling me it was a really good one and that I could make smoothies with it!! I eventually decided to open the box and take a closer look at it (I didn’t want to appear completely ungrateful). When I opened the box I found the AP shoe box inside instead of a blender! Definitely one of the best surprises ever!
