I’m feeling very impatient and a tiny bit bored waiting for baby to put in an appearance! Yesterday I decided to waddle into town and have a nosey round Boots to fill up some of my day. Obviously, I made a few purchases!

I apologise for the lack of swatches but I can’t seem to get a decent picture and I’m of the opinion that no swatch is better than a bad swatch!
The lipsticks
I’m wearing the BarryM lipstick today and, although it’s a little frosty for my taste, I’m really loving the coral shade. This is my first lip paint (my local Boots/Superdrug never seem to be well stocked or have the relevant testers) and I can see why so many bloggers love them. I may place an order online as I would love to try the new peachy pink shade. I’ve had my eye on the Revlon Matte lipstick for a while and finally succumbed. I fancy trying some of the eye shadows too. This is the first Rimmel product I’ve bought in years, probably since I was a teenager (Heather Shimmer was my signature lipstick throughout highschool!), but I was really impressed by how this colour swatched. It seems like a nice, sheer, glossy coral. It has a tiny amount of shimmer in it too. Can’t wait to give it a proper roadtest!

The Eye Shadows
I spotted these on a display stand at the Lancome counter. The sales assistant told me that they were all new. I think there were about 6 shades altogether and they all swatched beautifully. Very pigmented and shimmery. I limited myself to the silver and the purple. I’ve recently acquired a bit of an addiction to Lancome products. I really rate them, especially the lip glosses, eye shadows and certain skincare items (the Bi-Facil eye make-up remover and Hydra Zen Neurocalm eye cream). I also thought these shades would work well with my newly acquired shadows from MAC’s A Rose Romance Collection.
