This morning I managed to tear myself away from pictures of Will and Kate just long enough to pour over all of the dresses from the recent MET Ball.

So much prettiness and plenty of inspiration. Here’s a small selection of my favourites…

I love Madonna in Stella McCartney, not a leotard or leg warmer in sight. It reminds me of her Evita phase when she oozed old Hollywood glamour from every pore. I’m a little obsessed with hairstyles like this at the moment and have been working on perfecting waves in my own hair. The colour looks lovely on her too, no?

Ashley Greene’s Donna Karen frock is pretty breathtaking. I love the way her glossy brunette locks have been styled too and I’ll be filing these pics away in my bridal inspiration file.

Keren Elson pulls off sultry glamour perfectly in this Alexander McQueen dress. I love her make-up here too, it looks effortlessly sexy but not overdone.
