- Being woken up far too early by the children.
- Lingering under the bed covers just a little longer.
- Cuddling the children and sipping tea on the sofa.
- Eating fried eggs on hot buttery toast.
- Taking a long shower.
- Feeling cosy in my favourite jumper.
- Loving turned up skinny jeans and Chanel-esque ballet pumps.
- Wandering into town with Mr.LA and the children.
- Browsing my favourite vintage shops.
- Finding the perfect vintage school desk and chair for Izzy in Otto Retro. I’m going to fill it with cute stationery and books for her Christmas present. I cannot wait to see her little face come December 25th!
- Heading to Bill’s for lunch.
- Marvelling at Jesse’s ability to demolish a chocolate milkshake in just a few greedy slurps.
- Enjoying my halloumi and hummus burger.
- Feeling full.
- Walking home slowly.
- Pottering in the kitchen while the children played and watched movies from under a blanket on the sofa.
- Making my first batch of Christmas Chutney.
- Using up the last of our Halloween pumpkin in a huge casserole.
- Bathing the children.
- Loving the look of wonder on Jesse’s face as I read How to Catch a Star by Oliver Jeffers.
- Catching up on a little work.
- Finally pouring myself a glass of wine.
- Watching the first two episodes of Walking Dead. Hooked already.
- Collapsing into bed and sleeping deeply.
- Loving Mr.LA for letting me lie in.
- Eating an omelet for breakfast.
- Wearing makeup that makes me feel pretty. MAC Mocha blush, lashings of mascara and my favourite {non-red} lippy.
- Stomping through the park with Jesse.
- Inhaling autumn. Exeter smelt like woodsmoke, damp leaves and wet pavements today.
- Dodging the rain.
- Whizzing up leftover casserole to make soup for lunch.
- Dashing out for milk and eggs.
- Getting distracted.
- Buying the children books and bobble hats.
- Cooking and eating Spanish Pot Roast Chicken.
- Wanting to cry/scream/break something when we discovered Jesse had drawn on the sofa.
- Repeating the following mantra: ‘I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids’.
- Getting some perspective. It’s only pen. It’ll *probably* come out.
- Instantly forgiving my son as he hugged me goodnight.
- Baking a lemon drizzle cake.
- Listening to the sound of fireworks nearby.
- Looking forward to the sofa.
- Dreading the school run.

We have the same favourite jumper – I got the reddy/purple one! Has yours gone a bit bobbly already though?!
Sounds like another lovely weekend, on the whole 🙂 xxx
Sounds another lovely weekend (minus the sofa art) in the LoveAudrey home.
You may well be the cause of me having an empty bank account at this rate, I’ve been looking for Chanel-esque shoes and there you’ve pointed them to me so along with those, the fact I need to buy the ingredients to the chutney too and the Christmas wrapping paper and string and tape and … funds are disappearing 😉
