Here’s some simple Sunday make-up that showcases one of the newest additions to my ever growing collection of lipstick.
I had the urge to purchase some lippy a few weeks back and asked the twitter universe if there was anything in particular they thought I should swatch. Fellow blogger and maker of fabulous YouTube videos, Cami, suggested Hibiscus from MAC’s recent Surf Baby collection. She had an inkling that I’d like this bright, creamy coral {it’s even brighter than these pictures would have you believe actually} and she wasn’t wrong, I’ve been wearing it to death ever since it arrived. It looks lovely with a soft, smokey gold eye {I use my Chanel Mystic Eyes quad} or as a bright pop of colour on the lips worn with minimal eye make-up.
Yesterday I paired it with my favourite winged black eye-liner, proving that retro doesn’t always have to mean red.

For a more authentic summer take on vintage glamour you could hunt down a matte coral lippy. I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect shade myself, any suggestions? Did you pick anything up from the Surf Baby collection?

You are utterly gorgeous, wish i’d have picked up hibiscus but once i decided i wanted it everywhere was sold out! x
Your face looks flawless! Gorgeous glowy look xx
@Stacey Awwww thank you *blushes*. Shame you didn’t get your hands on Hibiscus, we’ll have to figure out a dupe.
@Daisy Thanks, I’m REALLY loving MAC Face&Body. It must be down to that as my skin is far from flawless really!

@vinatge_kitten Hehe! Sometimes that’s the hardest part! I do love MAC, it’s expensive but def worth the investment. They have some great retro reds that you would love.

Stunning! How do you keep your skin looking so flawless and clear?xx
Oh hi there beautiful 🙂 LOVE this lippie on you, totally fabulous 🙂 xxx
@Lauren Thank you my dear. As much as I’m loving my current skincare routine, my skin is far from flawless in real life. MAC F&B buffed into the skin with a #187 brush is just bloomin’ amazing, seriously 🙂
@Laura Awww, right back at ya gorgeous! I still think this would look nice on you too. Glad you’re loving your new lippy though, next time we’re buying you a red!
