• Waking up very slowly with multiple cups of tea and a delicious omelet courtesy of Mr. LA.
  • Feeling sorry for my future brother-in-law after the children woke him up a little earlier than he might have liked.
  • Loving how much the children love their uncle.
  • Watching Up with the children {again}.
  • Staying in my pjs for as long as possible.
  • Wearing minimal make-up.
  • Studying.
  • Studying some more.
  • Wishing I was out in the sunshine with the children.
  • Having a rather major crisis of confidence about my dissertation.
  • Sipping green tea with jasmine.
  • Gladly putting my books away when the children got back with Mr. LA and his brother.
  • Eating curry, sipping wine and watching a movie.
  • Waking up with a horrendous headache {which is still plaguing me in fact}.
  • Wearing MAC Shroom and Mink & Sable eye-shadows with Grey Utility pencil to line my eyes and lashings of mascara. LOVE.
  • Slapping on the sunscreen and enjoying the sunshine.
  • Enjoying the sight of Jesse in his new Star wars baseball cap.
  • Heading to the river.
  • Watching Mr. LA, his brother and Izzy on a pedalo out on the water. In all the years we’ve lived in Exeter we’ve never done this. I had to stay on dry land while Jesse napped in his buggy but Izzy loved it.
  • Chuckling at just how exhausted the boys were after their boat ride!
  • Enjoying a twister ice-lolly. Possibly the best thing you can buy on a stick.
  • Strolling beside the water in the sunshine.
  • Nipping into town for a few foodie supplies.
  • Cooking an amazing summer lasagna with asparagus, peas, broad beans, mint and a whole heap of garlic {6 cloves in fact}. It was absolutely delicious and I’ll be sharing the recipe with you shortly.
  • Heading to the cinema to watch Bridesmaids. Oh my, did I laugh! Very, very funny.
  • Catching up with one of my best friends over a cocktail. She’s been studying really hard of late so we’ve not seen much of each other. Not only is she getting married in November, she’s also the talented florist who’ll be doing the flowers at our wedding so we had plenty to talk about.
  • Failing at having an early night.
  • Falling asleep in Mr. LA’s arms with the bedroom window wide open and the smell of summer all around us. Best. Feeling. Ever.
