The last week has passed in a whirlwind of exciting emails, encouraging phone calls {thank you Emma} and more than a few moments of sheer disbelief.
I’ve got myself a new job you see.
Yes, little old me.
A proper job.
One my Mother can be proud of.
Does it sound awfully trite if I describe it as dream come true? Well, it is, so the phrase will have to do. You see, I’ll be working for, and with, none other than Annabel, the woman behind my favourite wedding blog Love My Dress.
Over the last 18 months, I’ve visited the pages of said blog at least once a day, soaking up all the amazing imagery and hanging on every word that filled my screen. I’ve watched the LMD brand grow and develop into something really special thanks to the dedication, hard work and nurturing touch of it’s creator. I can’t quite believe I get to be a part of what happens next. Annabel posted an incredible introduction to her readers this afternoon that explains a bit more about what I’ll be doing and how we’ll be working together. I have to admit, I felt a little choked up reading her words. As one of my dearest friends said, ‘no pressure Franky’!
This evening my mind is awash with a confusion of nerves, excitement, overwhelming pride in myself and a niggling sense of self-doubt. Do you ever get that? The feeling you might not actually be up to the challenge you’ve assigned yourself? Luckily, Mr. LA is wise. He quickly drew my attention to the fact I’m generally pretty rubbish at believing in myself, yet I always achieve what I set out to.
So, here goes nothing. And everything. Adventure is out there, as they say.
