Love Audrey UK Lifestyle Blog June Weekend
  • Waking up before everybody else.
  • Creeping down to the kitchen for a cup of tea.
  • Soaking up the silence.
  • Greeting Mr L.A. and Jesse when they finally joined me downstairs.
  • Making a batch of Nigella’s Everyday Brownies.
  • Grabbing a quick breakfast.
  • Jumping in the shower.
  • Inhaling the summery scent of my favourite Pinita Colada Body Wash from The Body Shop. It’s currently in the sale, so I bought in bulk!
  • Pulling on jeans and a Breton top.
  • Enjoying my second pot of Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. I’m trying the one with SPF this time.
  • Drying my hair and applying my makeup.
  • Waiting for Izzy to get home from a sleepover.
  • Welcoming my aunt and uncle when they arrived at the door.
  • Finding a vase for the beautiful bright red gladioli they gave us.
  • Making tea and coffee.
  • Helping Jesse organise his Lego Create The World minifigure trading cards. My aunt had enlisted the help of her friends and neighbours to complete his collection. Both children were thrilled with the finished album.
  • Eating chocolate biscuits while we all had a good natter. It’s the first time I’ve seen them since my cousin’s wedding last month.
  • Tucking into veggie lasagna for lunch.
  • Serving the brownies with whipped cream and fresh raspberries for dessert.
  • Chatting away for the rest of the afternoon.
  • Saying goodbye at the door.
  • Clearing up and collapsing on the sofa.
  • Resting while Mr L.A. made dinner.
  • Enjoying a fleeting visit from some old friends who’ll be moving to Bristol in the next few weeks. I can barely contain my excitement.
  • Sending the kids up to bed.
  • Sipping a weak G&T.
  • Watching A Cure for Wellness. I thought it was beautifully shot and a great idea, but a little disappointing overall.
  • Retreating upstairs to bed.
  • Sleeping in.
  • Deciding I didn’t have the energy to head out for brunch.
  • Feeling very grateful when Mr L.A. decided to make us a fancy breakfast at home instead.
  • Dealing with a huge leak in the laundry room.
  • Mopping the floor and washing towels.
  • Putting clean clothes away.
  • Eating wraps filled with fried halloumi, grated carrot and mango chutney. Such a good flavour combination.
  • Packing Izzy off to Clifton for her drama class.
  • Cleaning our bedroom and the bathroom upstairs.
  • Watching Moana for the millionth time.
  • Editing the last few iPhone photos from Amsterdam.
  • Longing for another holiday.
  • Cooking rice while Mr L.A. made a curry.
  • Eating too much.
  • Craving a hot bath and an early night.
