Love Audrey UK Lifestyle Blog May Weekend
  • Sleeping in.
  • Heading downstairs for a cup of tea.
  • Discovering Mr L.A. curled up on the sofa with Jesse.
  • Thanking them both for my lovely lie-in.
  • Eating a bowl of summer berries and vanilla yogurt for breakfast.
  • Watching Moana. Again. Nope, not bored yet.
  • Coaxing the kids into their clothes.
  • Waving everyone off when they headed into town.
  • Working in my PJs.
  • Feeling a deep sense of achievement as I crossed a couple of things off my to-do list.
  • Re-heating leftovers for lunch.
  • Watching Party of Five on Netflix.
  • Feeling nostalgic for the 90s.
  • Enjoying a long, hot shower.
  • Pulling on skinny jeans and my favourite Delores Daywear tee.
  • Blow drying my hair.
  • Greeting the others at the front door.
  • Lounging on the sofa with a cup of tea and some sweet treats from Naughty Brownie.
  • Relaxing while Mr L.A. made dinner.
  • Tucking into Kidney Bean Curry {which is probably my favourite recipe from Meera Sodha’s Made In India}.
  • Packing Jesse off to bed.
  • Watching Sense and Sensibility with Izzy. We love a good costume drama.
  • Hugging each other when we both felt a bit weepy watching Alan Rickman on-screen.
  • Giving goodnight kisses.
  • Changing into clean PJs.
  • Watching Psycho and drinking hot chocolate.
  • Collapsing into bed.
  • Being rudely awakened by a bunch of teens lobbing stones at our bedroom window.
  • Doing my best to calm Mr L.A.’s temper.
  • Eventually drifting off to sleep.
  • Waking up when Jesse came padding into our room a little after 7am.
  • Whisking him downstairs so Mr L.A. could continue sleeping.
  • Sipping tea while Jess played with his Lego.
  • Waiting for the others to join us for breakfast.
  • Getting ready to face the day.
  • Strolling to St George’s Park in the sunshine.
  • Enjoying the delights of BS5 Market.
  • Demolishing an avocado tempura taco from The Bearded Taco. It was delicious.
  • Slowly making our way home.
  • Snapping photographs of the kids playing among the cow parsley.
  • Fighting a sudden wave of fatigue.
  • Crashing out on the sofa.
  • Feeling fragile.
  • Having a good chat and a cuddle with Mr L.A. while the children played outside.
  • Trying not to worry.
  • Preparing Izzy for her first solo trip to Clifton. She has to take two buses to reach her drama class, but she made it there and back in one piece.
  • Resting at home while Mr L.A. took Jesse to a birthday party.
  • Putting laundry away.
  • Chatting to my mum on the phone.
  • Listening to Jesse talk about the fun he’d had at PlaySpace.
  • Eating an ice-cream outside in the yarden.
  • Daydreaming about the first BBQ of the summer.
  • Editing photos while the boys played Pokemon.
  • Watering all my house plants.
  • Making veggie sausages and mash for dinner.
  • Sitting down to eat as Izzy arrived home.
  • Cleaning the kitchen while the kids got ready for bed.
  • Tapping away at my laptop in the golden early evening light.
  • Crossing my fingers for a healthy, happy week ahead. Last week was anything but, so I must be due some good luck.
